Privacy Policy

ReelTori is a short-drama app. You do not need to give us your name, your email address or your phone number to watch anything. Logging in with your email is optional.
The short version. When you first open ReelTori the app creates an anonymous account — a random string of characters, nothing more — so that your coins and your place in a story survive being closed. We keep what you watched and what you bought, linked to that account, and the country your phone is set to and what kind of phone it is. If you choose to log in, we also keep your email address, only to log you in and to help you with your account. We do not keep your name, your phone number or where you are. We do not sell anything about you to anybody.
Who is responsible
ReelTori is operated by Alfafre Studios, based in Nigeria. For anything in this policy, including a request to delete your data, write to support@reeltori.com.
What we collect
All of it is tied to the anonymous account described above, never to you personally.

What we do not collect
This is not a list of things we promise to be careful with. The app never asks for any of it, and there is nowhere in ReelTori to type it in:
- Your name or phone number, and your email unless you choose to log in
- Where you are: the app never uses GPS, and we do not use your internet (IP) address to work out your location. The only place-related thing we note is the country your phone’s settings name, described above
- Your contacts, calendar, messages or call history
- Your photos, videos or files
- Your camera or microphone
- Anything about your health or fitness
- Your card number or bank details — see Payments
Payments
Coins and VIP memberships are sold through Google Play. When you buy something, Google takes the payment on its own screen, using the payment method already on your Google account. Your card number, bank details and billing address are handled entirely by Google and never reach ReelTori. We could not see them if we wanted to.
What we receive is a receipt: a long code confirming that a particular purchase was paid for. We send that code to our own server, which asks Google whether it is genuine, and then adds the coins to your account. We keep the receipt so that the same purchase can never be credited twice, and so you can restore your purchases on a new phone.
Google’s handling of your payment is covered by Google’s privacy policy, not this one.
Advertising
ReelTori shows ads through Google AdMob. Watching one is how you unlock an episode without paying, so the ads are optional and you choose when to see one.
To do this, Google uses your device’s advertising identifier — a resettable code that belongs to your phone, not to you by name — along with information about the ad itself, such as whether you watched it to the end. Google uses this to choose ads it thinks are relevant to you and to pay us for showing them. We ask Google for personalised ads where your settings allow it.
You can turn personalisation off. On Android, open Settings → Privacy → Ads and choose to delete or reset your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation. On iPhone, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. ReelTori keeps working either way — you will still earn the same coins for watching, the ads will just be less closely matched to you.

Who else sees your data
Four companies, each doing one job. Nobody else, and nothing is ever sold:

We do not use Facebook, TikTok or any other advertising network’s tracking tools, and there is no third-party analytics service in the app.
We would hand over data if a Nigerian court or a law enforcement agency acting under Nigerian law required us to. Given what we hold, that would be a list of episodes watched against an anonymous identifier.
Where your data is kept
Our database and video files are stored on servers outside Nigeria, operated by the companies named above. If you are reading this in Nigeria, that means your information is transferred abroad to be stored. We rely on those providers’ own contractual data protection terms, which is the ordinary arrangement for an app of this kind.
How long we keep it
- Your account, balance, unlocks and history — for as long as the account exists.
- Purchase records — for seven years, because they are sales records.
- Activity records — kept, but unlinked from your account if the account is deleted, so that past months’ totals do not change retrospectively.
Deleting your data
In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete my account. Your account, balance, unlocked episodes, history, saved list and reminders are deleted straight away. Or email support@reeltori.com and ask, and we will do it within 30 days. Every way to do it is on Delete your account.
Two honest warnings. First, if you ask by email, because the account is anonymous you will need to send the account identifier shown on your Profile page — it is the only way we can tell which account is yours, and we would rather admit that than pretend otherwise. Second, deleting your account destroys any coins and VIP time you have paid for, and we cannot give them back or refund them. Purchase records themselves are kept, because we are required to keep records of sales, but they are no longer linked to you.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and under similar laws elsewhere, you may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email the address above. We answer within 30 days, and it costs nothing.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Children
ReelTori is not meant for children. The stories are written for adults, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13. If you believe a child has been using the app, email us and we will delete the account.
Changes to this policy
If we start collecting something new, we will change this page and move the date at the top. If the change is a significant one, we will say so inside the app rather than quietly editing this page and hoping nobody notices.
